According to the Affordable Care Act (ACA) all employers must report specific insurance information to the government. SmartFusion provides this functionality by exporting the ACA files so the user can send them to one of our ACA Reporting Vendors. To make this available, select the ACA Reporting Vendor for the ACA Export setting under Payroll > Payroll > Payroll > Parameters > Payroll System File > Page 2. The ACA Export interface license must be enabled for the feature to be configured and visible as a menu option.
Explanation
End period to report - Date range to generate the data. The Start Date must be prior to the End Date. This date range will be used by the exports to find employees that have been active in payroll based on the employee activities.
File export path - Location on your computer where the files will be saved. Validation is done to ensure there are no invalid characters.
Filtering
Employees - Generate data for specific employees.
Pay Group - Generate data for specific pay groups.
Salary Class - Generate data for specific salary classes.
Pay Type - Generate data for specific pay types.
Export Files
Integrity Data:
Employee File - this file includes the employee data required to print the 1095-C. This file is tab delimited with headers included and is named Employee[Current Date in YYYYMMDD].txt
Transaction File - This file includes the pay code, deduction and benefit data required to print the 1095-C and will need to be sent to Integrity Data. File is tab delimited with headers included and is named Transaction[Current Date in YYYYMMDD].txt
Dependent File - This file includes the dependents required to print the 1095-C and will need to be sent to Integrity Data. File is tab delimited with headers included and is named Dependent[Current Date in YYYYMMDD].txt
