Introduction

The I6 Hand Held type uses the MVRS specification to handle multiple cycles in one file. Most of the Itron Hand Held definitions use a single IHP Route ID in place of the true Billing Cycle allowing for a single Cycle per file.

Explanation

To Add a new I6 definition the following fields must be filled out.

Add New Handheld - Clicking this command button inserts a new record in the Hand held definition table.
Undo Add - Clicking this will undo a newly added Hand held definition
Delete Hand Held - Delete an existing hand held definition

Current Handheld type - Choose predefined Handheld Types for Import and Export file formats. Used to change existing settings, Add new definition or delete an existing Hand held definition.

IHP Route ID - This is used when producing a file that only has a single cycle. Anywhere that a cycle is used in a specific Hand held definition the IHP Route ID will be used for cycle. Highest Range - is used for highest range when calculating a range to let the Hand held reader that the reading entered is out side of a high reading
Lowest Range - is used for lowest range when calculating a range to let the Hand held reader that the reading entered is out side of a lowh reading
High Rangeis used for high range when calculating a range to let the Hand held reader that the reading entered is out side of a high reading
Low Rangeis used for low range when calculating a range to let the Hand held reader that the reading entered is out side of a low reading
Survey Indicator -
Company code - 4 character alpha numeric code for use with the N360 handheld type
Office code - 4 character alpha numeric code for use with the N360 handheld type
Transfer to File name - Path and file name used when sending Hand held file to meter reading software

Transfer from File Name - Path and File name used to transfer file from Hand held system to import meter readings.
Radio Frequency Meter Readings - This indicates that meters use a specific frequency to read meters and a tone to wake up meters to be read.
Radio Frequency - Frequency that meter wil usee to communicate.
Tone Frequency - Wake up tone frequency used to wake up meter to be read.
Update Reading/Reading Sequence for Inactive Meters - Update read sequence when importing readings in the order they were read for Inactive Meters.
Update Reading/Reading Sequence when Reading is zero - Update read sequence on meters wit a zero reading.
Import demand readings as whole numbers
Combine customer meters into one customer record per location - combines the reading records under one customer record (unique to the location). This is only available for handheld type C (Itron) currently.
Reading Multiplier visible(Flexnet) - Reading multiplier visible for Flexnet meter reading software.

Export meter size - Unchecked by default and is only visible when using the handheld type "S" (Neptune Equinox). If checked will include the meter size from the meter master in the export.

Meter size decimal places - Only visible for the N360 handheld type. Valid values are 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4, with a default of 4.

Overwrite current reading Is Checked by default. If Checked will overwrite current reading on a meter (except for pending final locations). If not checked will not overwrite current readings and will show as an exception. This applies to all hand held types.

Use current as previous if billed Defaults to not checked.If checked it will use the current reading as the previous reading if the last meter reading on a meter was billed at the time of transferring readings to Handheld. (This does not apply to the Handheld type 'H')

Service address city, state and zip Defaults to not checked. If checked will include the city, state, and zip for the service address for handheld type "H" only.

Reading Multiplier visible for Flexnet- If checked the Reading Multiplier field will be visible in the 'Enter/Edit Meter Master' screen.

Enable Flexnet data synchronization - When turned on path, filename and time can be entered to create a sync file
File Location - Path and File name
Schedule Time - Time that the sync file will be created
Export type - Logics/Analytics/Generic

Add service point ID - Visible only for export type 'Analytics'. If checked Service point Id will be added to the data sync export file.

Not mandatory to read notes on handheld - This option is currently for Itron Type C only and if checked will make the notes on a meter location an optional read for handhelds. If it is unchecked, any notes on the handheld will be mandatory.

Substitute electric meter type - This enables the electric meter type for Itron Type 1 (C) to be substituted by the value that's entered into the "Electric meter type" field below.

Electric meter type - Used in conjunction with the checkbox above.
Include finalized locations - Currently only visible/enabled for the BEACON handheld type
Inclcude Meter Notes - Includes the note from the meter master, currently only visible for the G, Radix Type 3, handheld type
Latest Extension - only retrieve one line for one meter. If more than one shows up for the same meter., use the latest extension. This option is only available for BEACON handheld types.
Include Vacancies - Include vacancies in the export. This option is only available for BEACON handheld types.

Changes Prior to Version 6.130

6.129 - Added option to export meter size. Currently this is only visible for handheld type "S" (Neptune Equinox).

6.117 - Added option to include finalized locations. Currently this is only visible for the BEACON handheld type.

6.106 - Added a checkbox that allows to overwrite current readings when uploading a Handheld file. This applies to all hand held types.

6.93 - added a checkbox that allows for the consolidation of all customer meter readings under a single customer header (unique to the location). Only available for handheld type C (Itron).

6.75 - removed validation that required the user to enter an IHP Route ID for all handheld types. This is required and enabled for handheld types C, E, I6, M, P, S, T, Z and Z2 only.

6.72 - Added the option "Import demand readings as whole numbers". This option, set checked by default, will allow for demand readings to be imported a whole numbers when checked. If the option is unchecked, demand readings will be imported as decimal numbers.

6.69 - Added "Export type" parameter for Flexnet Data Synchronization. 

6.55 - Added Beacon handheld option.

6.45 - Added an option for Itron type c handhelds to make the reading of notes on handhelds optional.

6.31 - Added a "Substitute electric meter type" check box and "Electric meter type" field so that a user could substitute a value that they enter, up to 4 digits, for the electric meter type for Itron Type 1 (C). If this is not enabled, the default of "KW  " will be used for electric read types. This change if for Itron Type 1 (C) only.

6.21 - Changed the query that provides the data for the export to include latitude and longitude from the meter table.

6.11 - Changed the query that provided the data for the export to include active and inactive meters.

5.29 - Added new Hand Held tyoe called I6.  I6 is a new Itron Hand Held type used for cycle billing.
