Recent Changes:
- 6.26 - Removal of logic for updating the salary account information based on the import file. Validation for erroneous salary account information has also been removed as they do not play a role in the import anymore.
Introduction
This allows the user the ability to import merit raises in excel (xlsx) format. Customer must have the correct license file information in order to use this functionality.
Explanation
The import file contains new wage information due to merit raises. This can change the annual income and payrate for an employee for the current year. The file is a mechanism for updating these employees without having to manually.
Select Process - Option to print or print and update.
Import File Name - Select the file name to import.
Date - Date of the import.
Specification
SmartFusion matches employees by social security number. The following columns (case insensitive) must exist in the xlsx file when importing:
- Annual
- Biweekly - If Employee is Salary, enter biweekly amount. Otherwise leave empty.
- First Name
- Grade (Salary Class) - If import file only shows a one digit number under the grade column, the import logic interprets this to be prefixed by a zero. If it is two digits, it will use two digits.
Example A - The value under the grade column in import file is 4, in SmartFusion, this references salary class 04.
Example B - The value under the grade column in the import file is 42, in SmartFusion, this references salary class 42.
- Hourly - If Employee is Hourly, enter hourly rate. Otherwise leave empty.
- Last Name
- SSN
- Pos (Class Code)
