Introduction

The purpose of this form is to allow the user the ability to import tax year information based on an XML file for federal and states for the upcoming new year.

The tax tables themselves can be found in Parameters > Federal Tax Table and Parameters > State Tax Tables.

Explanation

Pull the update from the web

1. Enter the tax year (2020, eg.) to be updated
2. Ensure that the “Load tax tables from file” is NOT checked.
3. Click the OK button.

Manually update the file
The file is located in the SmartFusion Repo under SmartFusion/SmartFusionResources/TaxTables. They are affixed with a year suffix.

One can also get the file by going to: \\rand-build.harriscomputer.com\SmartFusion Releases, clicking on the shortcut for TaxTables, and selecting the appropriately named xml file.

After retrieving the file, users can update their tax tables by:

1. First making sure “Update tax table from file” is checked in the system file in the 'Technical Settings' section.
2. Locate the file that was downloaded, and enter the path in the Tax Table Update screen

Once the file is imported, the federal and state tax tables located in parameters will be updated with the selected new year.
