Introduction
Retirement deduction information can be generated in report form, or a file can be created so that the information can be transmitted via diskette or modem transfer.
Explanation
Only deductions on a payroll check within the 'period to report' are included on the report.
Deduction Parameter Configuration has a big impact on the Retirement Report.
- Only Deductions set to deduction type 'R - Retirement' are reported.
- Deductions with 'furlough deduction' checked are not included in the Retirement report.
- the 'Organization ID Code' on the Deductions Parameter must be populated for any retirement deduction for the Retirement Report to Run.
- Deductions Parameters also have a retirement type setting. Most States just use the default '1-State Retirement' deduction type. Only some states use the other retirement types. State specific details below.
Global Options
Select state - different states allow for different options

Troubleshooting
If you receive the error stating "Retirement Deduction Organization ID Code must be set before process can continue." then check the following settings:
- Deduction Type of "R" for Retired
- Organization ID Code on the Deduction Code must be populated
- If TRS2 (only available in Georgia) is checked when running the report then the Retirement Type for the Deduction Code must be "T" for "GA TRS"
- If TRS2 is not checked and PSERS2 (only available in Georgia) is checked when running the report then the Retirement Type for the Deduction Code must be "P" for "GA PSERS" or "X" for "GA PXRS"
- Otherwise, the Retirement Type for the Deduction Code must be "1" for State Retirment, "3" for Police Retirment Class 1, or "4" for Police Retirment Class 2
