Introduction
Information relative to setup and customization of the Position control module is stored in the Position control system file.
Position Control Settings
Requires approval - If set to true, positions must be approved before employees can be assigned to them.
Allow requesting positions – If set to true, people with rights to request positions are allowed to request them. If set to false, there is no request and approval process.
Allow organization wide approve all –allows the organization context menu to display the “Approve All” and “Deny All” menu items if set to true. Otherwise they are not displayed.
Allow location wide approve all - allows the location context menu to display the “Approve All” and “Deny All” menu items if set to true. Otherwise they are not displayed.
Allow category wide approve all - allows the category context menu to display the “Approve All” and “Deny All” menu items if set to true. Otherwise they are not displayed.
Allow job wide approve all - allows the job context menu to display the “Approve All” and “Deny All” menu items if set to true. Otherwise they are not displayed.
FTE validation – Can have 3 different values:
- None – No validation is performed on adding a position
- Warn on Exceeding – The user is warned if they are creating a position that would cause them to exceed the allocation
- Prevent Exceeding – Prevents the user from adding a position if it would cause them to exceed the allocation.
Level One node type – specifies whether the basis for the level 1 node is the department or the location. If it is location, then locations will be displayed beneath the organizational node. If it is department, then departments will display beneath the organizational node.
Replace "Requested by" on add/edit position form with – The text entered here will be used instead of the Requested by label on the Add/Edit Position Form
