Recent changes: 
6.163 - Modified the data pull to pull YTD amounts from start of fund date till current period end date for capital project funds if there is no balance forward record for the Fiscal year.

Introduction

A trial balance is a list of balances of accounts. The trial balance will show both the credit and debit entries in separate columns.

The trial balance should be printed as needed but at a minimum, it is recommended that a summary version of the trial balance be printed on a monthly basis just to make sure everything is in balance. The trial balance report utilizes the report criteria tab which allows you to choose ranges based on any segment of the account number, but selecting anything less than all ranges on any segment except fund number may produce a trial balance that does not balance.

Report Selections

• Select sequences - The report is automatically sequenced by Fund and Type (asset, liability, equity). The two combo boxes allow it to be further sequenced by two additional options. These boxes are optional.
• Enter range of criteria to process
• Enter current period end date
• Fiscal year start date
• Spacing on report
• Include only balance forward amounts - helpful when verifying balances that have been brought forward at the start of a fiscal year
• New page for each primary sequence
• Subtotal by account type
• Print working trial balance
• Print trial balance with budgets
  • Print original instead of amended
• View drill-down style report
• Include government-wide transactions
• Print in landscape
