From here, the user can enter 1099 balances for vendors. This is primarily used when this is a new vendor or a vendor that is being converted from a different system and there was a 1099 balance that will need to be reported but the vouchers will not be entered into SmartFusion.
Editable Fields
Page1
1099 and Type 1099
If the vendor will be paid for services that are subject to tax and that will require a 1099 to be issued at the end of the year, be sure to check the 1099 box. If this box is checked, you will be required to select the 1099 type. The valid types are Interest, Legal, Medical, Nonemployee, Other, Real Estate, and Rent.
Replace vendor name with owner name on 1099
When checked the owner name will print on the 1099
Tax id
Use the Tax Id number to enter the vendor’s tax identification number that will be printed on the 1099. This is not a required field because sometimes the number is not known when the vendor is added. However, this information is required by the taxing authorities, and steps need to be taken to make sure it is added before the 1099’s are printed at the end of the year. An option located on the AP Security Rights tab of the Enter/Edit User Security to replace the tax ID with *’s in the Enter/Edit and Inquire Vendor Master.

Prior 1099 Date - the date that will be used for reporting Prior 1099 balances; only one date is allowed for any given calendar year
Balance - the previous 1099 balance that needs to be reported where the vouchers will not be entered into SmartFusion
