Recent Changes: 

6.247 - Added functionality to pull the check totals from the AP128 (check postings table) instead of voucher. And added a double asterisk to denote if there is more then one voucher associated with a check and selection criteria omits some vouchers.

6.229 - If 'Assign multiple purchase orders to single voucher' is set in AP System file, then the purchase order information will be obtained from the voucher detail.

6.216  - Modified the report so that if a vendor is set up for ACH and if the voucher for the vendor is flagged as Update Only that the amount is reflected only as an Update Only amount. 

6.185 - Handled vendor status type 'Tax Refund' so that the customer names now show on the AP Check register.

6.178 - Corrected an issue where the previous check run totals could be affected by a new check run

Summary

Printing the Check Register is not a required step in the invoice entry and payment process but it is recommended that a check register be printed to verify that the checks were updated correctly to the vendor history. The check register can be printed at any time for any range of dates within the fiscal year. It can be printed as a basic summary check register or it can be expanded to a detail register.

Options

Select output option allows user to print in detail or totals only
Enter Cash Account will allow user to filter the report based on selected account. If user has security restrictions they may be locked to a specific cash account. This security restriction can be set up in Security Rights- AP tab in the Enter/Edit User Security menu option.
Enter Range to Include

  • Check Dates is the a range of dates the checks were printed. This are required
  • Check numbers is the range of check numbers the report is to be filtered by
  • Check run number(s) is the number the system assigned to the group of checks when they were updated.
  • PO number(s) is the number for the PO that is attached to the vouchers, if any
  • Reference PO number(s)
  • If pay groups are used when keying in vouchers the user can use this feature to filter the report by them.
  • The amount can be used to filter the checks by the range provided. This is not a required field and if zero it is ignored.

Include Vendor Address - This will print the vendor address on the report
Include Invoice Details - Invoice details will be printed if checked which will include the voucher number, invoice number (if used at the time the voucher was keyed) and PO number (if used at the time the voucher was keyed).
Include Account Distribution - Include the fund ledger distribution on the report
Include void checks only - When checked a range of void check dates will display on the screen which will be used for querying the data for only voided checks
Exclude voided checks - Only available if Include void checks only is not selected. This will exclude voided checks from the report
E-Payments only - Print only E-payment based items
Print Generic Name for employee Vendors - if you have paid a vendor that is flagged as an “Employee” on page 2 of the vendor master and you wish to not display the actual vendor’s name on the report for privacy reasons. If the flag on the vendor and on the check register are both selected, it prints “Employee Vendor” instead of the vendor’s name.
Include check sequence number - Includes the sequence number of the check. This is similar to the check number but resets with each check run. The value for this setting that was used the last time the Check Register was run will be saved and loaded into the screen.

Sort by check run - When checked the report will be grouped by check run number and then sorted by check number. If not it is sorted by check number only.
New page for each check - Print one check per page
Include authorized signature section - Prints an authorized signature section at the end of the report
Hide check numbers - When checked will hide the checknumbers and replace them with 5 asterisks
Invoice number - partial match allowed
Invoice description - partial match allowed

Warrant Report - Allows one to set the Warrant Number and an alternate report title for printing on the check register.
Check date (for Milner) - Only visible if Milner ImageDirector is enabled in the license file. Defaults to today's date.
Print overflow checks only - If checked, will only display overflow check numbers

- Added functionality to save Milner ImageDirector zip file.
